Ligue 1 giants, Olympique Lyon, are interested in signing Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, this summer as a free agent.
The French club attempted to sign the Leicester City star last summer but their request to take him on loan was rejected by the Foxes who were keen to retain his services.
According to the Daily Post, Lyon have identified Ndidi as a top transfer target this summer and will make another attempt at signing the Nigerian to strengthen their midfield ahead of next season.
The 27-year-old midfielder will become a free agent next month when his contract with Leicester City expires although he has not ruled out signing an extension with the former Premier League champions.

Ndidi played a pivotal role as Leicester City gained promotion back to the Premier League after one season in the lower leagues, scoring nine goals for the Foxes as they emerged as the English Championship winners.
Ndidi keen to remain in England
Meanwhile, Ndidi is reportedly keen to remain in England and might likely turn down any proposed deal that will see him move abroad this summer, per Complete Sports.
Aston Villa and Tottenham are two English clubs who have been linked with an interest in the Super Eagles midfielder who is considered one of Leicester City’s best players this season.
Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid, recently turned down an opportunity to sign Ndidi and it is widely expected the 27-year-old would prefer playing in the English top-flight next season.
