Cristiano Ronaldo achieved yet another remarkable milestone in his illustrious career by scoring twice in Al-Nassr's final game of the Saudi Pro League on May 27.

The Portuguese star found the net on either side of halftime, setting a new record for the most goals scored in a single season in the Saudi top flight and etching his name in the league's history books.

Ronaldo scored in first-half stoppage time and again in the 69th minute with a header as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Ittihad 4-2 at home on Monday.

Moroccan forward Abderrazak Hamdallah, who beat CR7 to the top scorer award last term, set the previous record for most goals in a single season with 34 in the 2018/19 campaign.

But the Real Madrid legend made sure he made amends for missing out on the Goal King prize this season while also smashing the record with his 34th and 35th goals of the season, per ESPN.

Sports Brief looks at five Ronaldo records that might never be surpassed.

Ronaldo records that might never be broken

50 goals in six consecutive seasons

With Ronaldo and his long-time rival Lionel Messi now in the twilight of their careers, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé have emerged as the leaders of the next generation of prolific marksmen.

However, they’ll face a tough challenge in breaking a scoring record set by Ronaldo that even Messi couldn’t surpass.

For six consecutive seasons between 2011/12 and 2015/16, the Portuguese star scored at least 50 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid: 53, 60, 55, 51, 61, and 51.

Highest goalscorer at Real Madrid

Ronaldo reached the peak of his talent after moving to Spain, shattering record after record for Real Madrid as the Spanish giants aimed to reclaim their dominance from rivals Barcelona.

He set the Spanish league record for the fastest player to reach 150 league goals, achieving this feat in just 140 matches.

Ronaldo also led Madrid in league scoring with 311 goals and, with 451 goals at the end of his nine seasons in Spain, became the club's all-time leading scorer. Each season at Madrid, he truly provided the world with a spectacle.

10+ goals in seven UCL seasons

Throughout his career, Ronaldo has scored 10 or more goals in seven different Champions League campaigns.

As if that weren't impressive enough, he helped Los Blancos win four championships between 2011–12 and 2017–18.

Ronaldo has netted 140 goals in the Champions League, 11 more than Messi's 129.

Most goals in international football

Since making his Portugal debut in 2003, Ronaldo has scored 128 goals in 200 games.

He surpassed the previous record held by Iranian striker Ali Daei, who scored 109 goals for his national team over 13 years.

Of Ronaldo's 123 goals, eight have been scored in the World Cup and 14 in the European Championships, the latter being a tournament record.

60+ goals in four consecutive calendar years

Ronaldo scored 60, 63, 69, and 61 goals annually between 2011 and 2014, respectively. However, the streak ended in 2015 when he fell just three goals short.

Messi holds the record for the most goals scored in a single year, netting 91 goals for Barcelona and Argentina in 2012.

Won every trophy at two different clubs

Ronaldo is the only player in football history to have triumphed with two different teams in the Champions League, Club World Cup, domestic league, domestic trophy, and domestic super cup.

These astounding trophy hauls occurred during Ronaldo's first stints at Manchester United and Real Madrid.

And on top of that, Ronaldo won the Player of the Year Award, Golden Boot and the Ballon d’Or at the same time at United and Madrid.

Ronaldo's girlfriend reacts to his record-breaking feats

As football fans celebrate his latest hallmark, Ronaldo’s heartthrob, Georgina Rodriguez, shared a heartwarming message in response to his heroics, Sports Brief reports.

A frequent attendee at Al-Nassr's home games, she posted a clip on her Instagram story after the match featuring her lover standing in the dugout for his post-match interview.
