The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea have been heavily linked with the Super Eagles forward, but an Italian journalist believes he may not remain in Europe.

Where Osimhen could go next

As noted by Punch NG, Valter De Maggio claimed that the Nigerian star could be moving to the Middle East instead.

Speaking about the player’s future, De Maggio elaborated that Osimhen preferred to go to England, but his €130 million release clause could be a problem for the Gunners.

Saudi Arabia doesn’t have a problem when it comes to money.

"Osimhen wants the Premier League. If the offer doesn’t come then he would consider the Arab one. There is no club paying the clause today. Osimhen would like Arsenal; otherwise, he would consider Saudi Arabia," De Maggio claimed.

Why Osimhen is in hot demand

Thanks to his exploits with the Italian club, the striker has become one of the hottest talents in world football.

Osimhen has scored 76 goals in 133 appearances for the side and helped them win the Serie A title last season.

While he may not have reached the same heights as before this season, Transfermarkt noted that he has managed to net 17 goals in 32 games.

Napoli are also preparing for the possibility of him leaving and have started looking at possible replacements.
