The former Manchester United forward opened the scoring for his side on the stroke of the first half before he completed his brace in the 69th minute.

The 39-year-old's brace saw him ink his name in history books as he became the first player to score 35 goals in a single Saudi Pro League campaign.

Abderrazak Hamdallah, who achieved the feat in 2018/19, previously held the record of 34 goals.

Additionally, CR7 is the first player in history ever to become a top scorer in four different leagues, including the Premier League and the La Liga.

Ronaldo sends warning to Al Hilal

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has now fired a warning to Al Hilal as his side prepare to take on the Saudi champions in the King's Cup final.

"Our next goal is the King Cup. The team will give everything it has in the final. We wait and hope that the final will be fair," he said via Al Nassr Zone on X.

Having lost the Saudi top-flight title to Jorge Jesus's men, the Friday, May 31, meeting represents Ronaldo's best chance to end the season with a trophy.

According to Sportskeeda, this will be the Portuguese's first major trophy since he sealed his sensational move to Al Nassr in January 2023.

The final will be played at the King Abdullah Sports City.

Ronaldo hits new milestone

In other news, Sports Brief also reported on Ronaldo reaching yet another dizzying milestone in his illustrious career after netting twice in Al-Nassr's final game in the Saudi Pro League (SPL).

The Portuguese phenom struck on either side of halftime to etch his name in the history books of the Saudi top-flight.
