Cristiano Ronaldo reached yet another dizzying milestone in his illustrious career after netting twice in Al-Nassr's final game in the Saudi Pro League (SPL) on May 27.
The Portuguese phenom struck on either side of half-time to etch his name in the history books of the Saudi top flight, breaking the record for the most goals scored in a single season in the league.
Ronaldo scored in first-half stoppage time and again in the 69th minute with a header as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Ittihad 4-2 at home on Monday.
Moroccan forward, Abderrazak Hamdallah, who beat CR7 to the top scorer award last term, set the previous record for most goals in a single season with 34 in the 2018/19 campaign.

But the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus ace made sure he made amends for missing out on the Goal King prize this season while also smashing the record with his 34th and 35th goals of the season.
After breaking the record for most goals scored in a single season in the Gulf country, the 39-year-old took to his official X account to revel in his latest achievement.
"I don't follow the records, the records follow me," the veteran forward tweeted.
