The escalating feud between Sead Ramovic and Rulani Mokwena has prompted SuperSport United head coach, Gavin Hunt, to call for the Premier Soccer League (PSL) to step in and mediate.

The friction between the Mamelodi Sundowns manager and the TS Galaxy coach has been simmering throughout the season and peaked during their recent 1-1 draw in Mbombela.

This spat originated from Mokwena's controversial post-match comments following Sundowns' 3-0 triumph over the Rocket's Galaxy on April 29.

The Masandawana boss suggested that the red card issued to Orebotse Mongae was a deliberate payback for a tackle by Bongani Zungu that broke Bernard Parker's leg during the Carling Knockout in October last year.

TS Galaxy responded by filing a defamation lawsuit against Mokwena.

Hunt weighed in on the situation, addressing the need for respect and professionalism in the coaching fraternity. He highlighted the importance of maintaining decorum, noting the potential impact on the league's image and sponsorships.

"I think there has to be a certain level of respect, and I do think honest opinion, the league should get involved, and something should happen. You can't just let these things go like this because it's going to continue, and it's a reflection on your sponsorships, and you know all these types of things," he said, as reported by iDiski Times.

He also acknowledged that while rivalries are a natural part of sports, they must be kept within respectful boundaries.

Hunt suggested that the PSL should facilitate a resolution, perhaps by bringing the two coaches together to discuss their differences.

Galaxy owner, Tim Sukazi, defended the club's decision to sue Mokwena, explaining their legal action was about upholding principles rather than monetary compensation, per Times Live.

TS Galaxy take Mokwena to court

Sports Brief also reported that the bad blood between Galaxy and Sundowns had escalated in recent weeks and was now heading to court.

Tim Sukazi's side approached the Johannesburg High Court after Mokwena made defamatory comments about their side following a game.

TS Galaxy demanded that Mokwena apologise or provide proof for his comments and took him to court when he refused to say sorry.
