Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana, has reached out to fans following the team's thrilling FA Cup victory.

The Red Devils defeated their rivals, Manchester City, 2-1 at a packed Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 25.

Onana's stellar performance, including several crucial saves, was pivotal in securing the trophy.

The match saw Alejandro Garnacho open the scoring in the 30th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error by City’s Josko Gvardiol and goalkeeper Stefan Ortega. Nine minutes later, Kobbie Mainoo doubled United’s lead with a precise finish. A moment of controversy arose when Marcus Rashford's goal was disallowed for offside following Garnacho's earlier strike.

City managed to narrow the deficit with a late goal from Jeremy Doku, but the Red Devils held firm to clinch the victory. This win avenged their defeat to City in last season's FA Cup final.

In the aftermath, the Cameroonian expressed his gratitude to the fans through social media.

"This one is for you REDS. We felt your energy to take the Emirates FA Cup where it belongs – Man United," he posted on his X handle.

His message resonated with the supporters, who had been fervently backing the team throughout the campaign.

As reported by Sky, the victory was witnessed by United co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Joel Glazer, who were Finishing eighth in the Premier League, United were 31 points behind the champions, City. However, the FA Cup win ensures their place in the Europa League next season.

Despite the triumph, uncertainty looms over United manager Erik ten Hag's future. Reports circulating suggested the Dutchman could be dismissed regardless of the FA Cup outcome following a disappointing domestic season. If United had lost the final, they would have missed out on European football entirely next season.

Sports Brief reported that the first-half goals from United's teenage talents secured a 2-1 victory over City.

For the Red Devils, it was a fitting end to a tumultuous season, which saw them finish eighth in the Premier League, their worst in the era.

The victory against City, who had been crowned Premier League champions just a week earlier for a historic fourth time in a row, served as perfect revenge for ten Hag.
