Thomas Tuchel has reportedly offered his services to Chelsea following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino left the Blues by mutual consent after just one season in charge, as the English club announced on Tuesday, May 21.
Despite finishing sixth in the Premier League, thanks to a strong run towards the end of the season, the Stamford Bridge outfit missed out on Champions League qualification and failed to secure a trophy.
Although the season was trophy-less, there were promising signs that Pochettino's project was coming together, highlighted by a run of five consecutive wins that ensured Chelsea would compete in Europe next season.

After discussions between the club and the Argentine manager on Monday, a joint decision was made to have Pochettino step down.
Thomas Tuchel to return to Chelsea?
Following Pochettino's departure, several candidates are already being considered to succeed the former PSG boss, including ex-Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi and Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna.
However, a familiar face could take over the reins, with Sky Sport Germany reporting that Thomas Tuchel is a "very concrete" option.
The 50-year-old was the first major casualty of Clearlake Capital’s ownership of Chelsea, being sacked on the 100th day of their reign in September 2022.
Tuchel himself had a challenging stint at Bayern Munich, where the Bavarians only managed to finish third in the Bundesliga, per Bayern Strikes.
He announced earlier this year that he would leave the club at the end of the season, and despite Bayern's last-minute attempt to reverse the decision, it proved abortive.
