Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford and Jordan Henderson have been dropped from England’s 33-man provisional squad for Euro 2024 by Southgate, per ESPN.
Rashford had a rough season with Manchester United, scoring seven goals in 33 league games as the Red Devils finished eighth in the Premier League.
Henderson, who played for England at both Euro 2016 and 2020, as well as the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, also could not find a spot in Southgate’s team despite his effort to remain in contention for the Euros by joining Ajax in January.

FootballMateta wants Eze at Euros
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Crystal Palace forward, Jean-Philippe Mateta believes Eze will make the England squad for the 2024 European Championship in Germany.
The French forward and the Nigeria-born midfielder have been in excellent form since Oliver Glasner took over as Eagles coach in mid-March, after Roy Hodgson resigned.
Despite Mateta's goal-scoring streak, he was unable to make the French team for the competition this summer, but he believes England will benefit by having Eze in their squad.
