Abha Club manager, Pitso Mosimane, will await the outcome of the meeting between Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr and Knowledge Musona's Al-Riyadh.

Having failed to inspire the Knights of Najd to the Saudi Pro League title, CR7 will now seek all three points against the bottom-table side.

Pitso hopes for a victory for Ronaldo's side in order for his side to leapfrog Al-Riyadh should Abja defeat Al-Khaleej.

Al-Riyadh vs Al Nassr and Abha vs Al-Khaleej will kick off simultaneously on Thursday as the Saudi Pro League survival race gets intense, The South African reports.

With 29 points from 32 games, Abha Club remain in relegation danger. They must win their last two matches for a chance to stay in the Saudi top-flight.

They are two points adrift of safety following their 5-1 loss to Al Ahly on Saturday, May 18.

During the rout, Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie and former Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez were on the scoresheet.

Upon his appointment as Abha Club head coach, Pitso Mosimane was saddled with the responsibility of maintaining their Saudi Pro League status.

His incredible managerial record would be affected should the team relegate to the second division.

Should they come out of the relegation zone after their game against Al-Khaleej, Abha will fancy their chances on the final day against bottom club Al-Hazm.

Rulani Mokwena breaks Mosimane's record

Sports Brief earlier reported that Mamelodi Sundowns set a new PSL record after their 1-0 win over Stellenbosch FC on Saturday afternoon.

Rulani Mokwena watched from the sidelines as his squad was too strong for Stellies inside the Parow Park stadium, producing yet another cleansheet.

Victory over Stellenbosch takes them to 72 points from 28 games, breaking the 71 points set by Mosimane and his side in the 2015/16 season.
