Mohammed Kudus has applauded outgoing West Ham United manager, David Moyes, for his guidance in his first season in England.

The Ghana international excelled in his first campaign in the Premier League under the tutelage of the experienced gaffer.

It was announced earlier this month that the former Manchester United manager will leave his role at the end of the campaign, with West Ham yet to reveal their next coach.

Although there are reports that Spanish trainer Julen Lopetegui is expected to take charge of the club, Kudus credits Moyes for helping him settle in quickly.

“Big credit to the manager – he has done a fantastic job this season. There have been ups and downs, but I give credit to my teammates, everyone was on top of the season, people playing more or less, even the guys on the bench, we are all together," he said after the game against Manchester City, as quoted by the official website.
"There’s a lot of respect and energy between everyone, so respect to the whole team. This is just the beginning, and I’m ready to get running into the next season," he added.

Kudus ended the campaign in style after netting a sensational acrobatic goal against Manchester City on Sunday, May 19.

The former Ajax player scored eight goals and delivered six assists in his first Premier League campaign, per Transfermarkt.

Kudus opens up on goal against City

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohammed Kudus reacted to his bicycle kick goal against Manchester City on the final day of the 2023/24 English Premier League season.

The Ghana international wrapped up an impressive campaign with a fantastic strike as West Ham United lost at the Etihad to the eventual champions, Manchester City.

The former Ajax star had given his side a lifeline moments before half-time after Phil Foden - Man City's Player of the Season - had scored two quick goals for the hosts.

Pep Guardiola praises Mohammed Kudus

Sports Brief also reported that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola applauded Mohammed Kudus following his dazzling displays for West Ham United this season.

The Ghana international was impressive for the Hammers in their away defeat to the Premier League giants.

Kudus scored a fantastic goal, but it was not enough as Manchester City beat the Hammers 3-1 to win the Premier League for a fourth consecutive season.
