Former Kaizer Chiefs coach, Muhsin Ertugral, has controversially claimed that Amakhosi legend, Itumeleng Khune was a better goalkeeper than Manchester United's No. 1, Andre Onana.
Khune was honoured by the Soweto giants on Saturday in his final season at the club.
A few years ago, Onana was considered one of the best goalkeepers in world football, but his first season at Man United has been underwhelming.
Khune has played for the Glamour Boys since 2007, and although there was interest from abroad early in his career, no deal materialised.

Ertugral coached Chiefs for five seasons in two different spells and believes Khune was much better than the Cameroonian, per Far Post.
“Is Onana that much taller?”, he told iDiski Times. “So, I mean, when I see Onana now today, I see Itu, but not that good like Itu. If Onana can play at Manchester United and Cameroon national team, just imagine what Itu could have done?
The Turkish tactician reiterated that the former Bafana Bafana goalie could do it in Europe, just like Onana.
“But if Onana can play today for Manchester United, then Itu would have played anywhere.”
Onana reached the 2023 Champions League final with Inter Milan and was incredible in Ajax colours in 2019. Since his move to the Red Devils, his performances have dipped significantly.
However, Man United fans are hopeful they will see a better player next season.
