Marco Reus displayed heartwarming elegance with a gesture after playing his final home match for Borussia Dortmund.
The Germany international, who joined the Black and Yellow from Borussia Monchengladbach 12 years ago, played his last home game on Saturday.
The 34-year-old celebrated the occasion with a remarkable free-kick during a resounding 4-0 victory against Darmstadt on the Bundesliga's closing day.
Despite not being a regular starter this season, Reus was included in the starting XI for his farewell match at the Westfalenstadion, with Champions League qualification already guaranteed.

Dortmund fans paid tribute to their hero through an elaborate choreography portraying his shirt alongside a banner bearing a heartfelt message:
"Your name represents identity and loyalty—danke, Marco!"
Upon Reus's substitution in the 81st minute, his teammates lined up to create a guard of honour as he exited the field.

After the match, Reus went to the Sudtribune, the yellow wall, climbed onto the stand, and led the ultras in chants.
He then surprised the ultras by paying for thousands of supporters' post-match beers in the bar behind the stand.
Photos showed a note from Reus at the bar that read:
