Bayer Leverkusen defender, Jeremie Frimpong and his Ghanaian mother celebrated his Bundesliga triumph in style after hitting the dance floor following the final game of the season.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian invited his family to Germany for the Bundesliga coronation as the newly-crowned German champions ended the campaign unbeaten.

Frimpong started before he was later replaced as Leverkusen defeated Augsburg 2-1 at the BayArena on Saturday, May 18, to finish a historic campaign in celebratory mood.

In a video shared on social media, the Holland right-back brought his mother, Bernice Frimpong, onto the pitch to dance as they celebrated the moment.

Frimpong, arguably the best right-back in the world at the moment, enjoyed an outstanding campaign in the Bundesliga and could end the season with an unprecedented treble.

Bayer Leverkusen will face Kaiserslautern in the final of the DFB Pokal later this month before their date with Italian outfit Atalanta in the Europa League.

The former Celtic defender has scored 14 goals and provided 12 assists across all competitions this season, per Transfermarkt.

Frimpong and Tella dance to Ghanaian music

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Jeremie Frimpong and Nathan Tella celebrated Bayer Leverkusen's Bundesliga triumph in style after hitting the dance floor to a popular Ghanaian song.

The song, titled Kolom, was composed by Ghanaian music duo, Buk Bak, and was a hit jam in 2012.

Frimpong and Tella starred for Leverkusen as the club won its first-ever Bundesliga title on Sunday after beating Werder Bremen at the BayArena.

Frimpong and Adli celebrate Germany's relaxed laws

Sports Brief also reported that Bayer Leverkusen stars, Jeremie Frimpong and Amine Adli joined the celebrations in Germany following the country's relaxed laws on the use of hemp.

On Monday, Germany announced the legalisation of hemp in small quantities for personal and recreational use.

Frimpong, who has been in sensational form this season, added another goal to his tally for the campaign as Bayer Leverkusen brushed aside Fortuna Dusseldorf to reach the final of the DFB Pokal.
