Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Abiodun Baruwa, has commented on Daniel Amokachi's appointment as an assistant to Finidi George in the Nigerian national team.

Finidi was unveiled by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as the new Super Eagles head coach a few days ago, and four other backroom staff members were also confirmed.

There have been talks about possible ego classing between Amokachi and Finidi, but their former teammates have been dropping their views on it.

In an interview with TVC News Nigeria, as per All Nigeria Soccer, Baruwa shared his thoughts on Amokachi's appointment and what he brings to the team.

"I don't think so because every administration will look for success," he said.
"If you look at Daniel Amokachi, you will see he's bringing his experience into the coaching crew. He has been there before as a player and as a coach."

The former Super Eagles shot-stopper believes the Nigerian football governing will not interfere in Finidi's work and explains everything they need to do.

"That's a big experience to bring to the team. I believe NFF will not interfere with what's going on between Amokachi and Finidi. All they just need to do is sit down together and work out the plan moving forward," he added.

Finidi ends three-year stay with Enyimba

His successful management at the club was noticed after he led the team to victory in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
