Arsenal have broken an incredible record previously held by the Invincibles following their vital win over Manchester United.

The Gunners played the Red Devils in an entertaining Premier League clash on Sunday evening, May 12, at Old Trafford.

Leandro Trossard was the match hero of the tie, with the forward scoring the only goal that separated the two teams.

The hosts were looking to bounce back to winning ways following last week's 4-0 humiliation at Crystal Palace.

However, Arsenal proved too clinical to handle, with Trossard finding the back of the net in the 20th minute after a clumsy mistake from Casemiro.

Arsenal breaks Invincibles record

Attempts by United to earn at least a consolation proved futile, with Mikel Arteta's men holding firm to their lead to claim maximum points.

According to SPORTbible, the crucial win away from home also saw the North Londoners set a new club record.

The Emirates club have now collected 27 wins in 37 Premier League games, one more than the 26 earned by Arsene Wenger's iconic side, who went unbeaten the whole of the 2003/04 season.

At the time, Arsenal racked up an impressive 90 points, with 12 of the 38 games ending in a draw.

Arteta's men have a chance to further extend their winning run when they take on Everton in the final game of the season on May 19.

Odegaard embarrasses Man United star

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Martin Odegaard embarrassing a Man United star during their meeting at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Arsenal captain was in his element as he helped his side secure a crucial 1-0 win over the Red Devils, utilising his quick feet.

The Norwegian has been incredible for the Gunners this season, with the midfielder playing a key part in the club's title charge.
