Jurgen Klopp is two games away from completing his time as Liverpool manager but is at the risk of missing his farewell match at Anfield on the final day.

Klopp announced on January 26 that he would step down at the end of the season after nine successful years in charge, during which he won all possible trophies, including the UEFA Champions League.

Per TNT Sports, the Reds were ruled out of the Premier League title race yesterday after league leaders Manchester City beat Fulham 4-0 away at Craven Cottage.

Liverpool won't be in action until Monday evening when they travel to Villa Park to chase top-four hopefuls Aston Villa. A win will boost their Champions League hopes.

Klopp could miss Anfield farewell

The Reds will host Wolverhampton Wanderers on the final day at Anfield where he will be expected to bid the fans his final farewell with nothing at stake.

According to Daily Star, the German manager will miss his final match if he picks up a yellow against Aston Villa. He has already received two bookings this season, and managers are suspended after three.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss promised fans he would keep his cool to be in the dugout in their final time out together.

“I got calmer over the years, obviously! I don’t need to [be on the touchline for the final game], but it would be cool if I could do that. It will not be from my side, I will try absolutely everything to try not get involved in any kind of discussions,” he said.

His replacement has already been agreed upon. Feyenoord boss, Arne Slot, will be the manager next season after the two clubs agreed on a compensation fee of £9.9 million.

Klopp delivers update on Salah's future

Sports Brief previously reported on Klopp's update on Mohamed Salah's future after he was asked if the winger would also leave the club at the end of the current season.

The manager gave an answer, and they suggested he was not interested in that topic. The club rejected a £150 million offer from Al-Ittihad for the Egyptian last summer.
