English Premier League club, Aston Villa, have opened talks with representatives of the embattled Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

Villa boss Unai Emery has reportedly informed the club's Sporting Director to make efforts to land the Nigerian international this summer.

The Villans look good to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League, and they are already making efforts to bolster their squad.

Valued at £8 million, Iheanacho struggled with playing time for Leicester City this season.

Although the Foxes have secured an immediate promotion back to the Premier League, reports have it that the forward seems to be done with the club.

The left-footer joined Leicester City from Manchester City in 2017 and has featured in 173 league matches for the club, scoring 35 goals.

The 27-year-old will be a free agent at the end of this season when his contract at Leicester City runs out.

He has underperformed this season, netting just five times in 23 appearances, but his proven class still makes room for transfer speculations from top clubs.
