Ivorian midfielder, Seko Fofana, scored one of the goals of the season contender in Al Ettifaq's win over Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League on Friday evening.

Steven Gerrard's side thrashed the People's Club 5-0, with Karl Toko Ekambi hitting a treble at the King Abdullah Sports City.

Al Ettifaq's win over Marcelo Gallardo's side put them two points ahead of Al Fateh with three games to go on the Saudi Pro League table.

One of the game's major highlights was Fofana's fifth-minute goal.

In a viral video shared on social media, the Al Nassr midfielder hit a powerful shot outside the box, which found the back of the net, leaving Mohammed Al-Mahasneh helpless.

Fofana's goal sparked different reactions from fans on social media as Al Ettifaq secured all three points away.

Abha Club captain backs Mosimane

Sports Brief also reported that amidst Abha Club's battle to avoid relegation in the Saudi League, captain Saad Bguir has voiced his staunch backing for head coach Pitso Mosimane, commending his leadership and influence on the squad.

Bguir credits the South African coach with stabilising the team and instilling a sense of belief among the players during the club's testing period.
