Former Premier League striker, Darren Bent, has given Liverpool the pathway to sign Kylian Mbappe next season as the Reds seek ways to rebuild their squad in the aftermath of Jurgen Klopp’s era.
The French forward’s future is still unsettled after announcing mid-season that he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer with Real Madrid reportedly the favourites to sign him.
According to HITC Football, Bent believes Liverpool can hijack the deal for Mbappe by selling Egyptian forward Salah to Saudi Arabia to fund the deal for the outgoing PSG forward.
“If Salah went and he came in. Imagine you are trying to appease the Liverpool fans by going ‘listen, you are going to lose Salah, but Mbappe is coming’.

“I almost feel like that’s what they need and he is versatile. He can play down the middle. They have a number of attacking players down the club that are versatile.”
Liverpool may be tempted to sell Salah as the 31-year-old forward has one year left on his current contract with the Reds.
Is Salah too good to sell?
Meanwhile, Liverpool cannot afford to lose Salah this summer as the Egyptian forward has played a crucial role in the successful Jurgen Klopp era, winning the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, Team Talk reports.
The 31-year-old forward is Liverpool’s all-time Premier League leading goal scorer, netting 155 times in 248 matches for the Reds since joining the club from AS Roma in 2017 for £36.9 million.

Salah equals Rooney’s EPL record
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Salah matched Wayne Rooney's record of being the player to have hit double figures for both goals and assists in five different campaigns in the Premier League.
The 31-year-old Egyptian equalled Rooney’s record after netting a goal and assisting another in Liverpool’s 4-2 victory over Tottenham.
Salah is also the first player to hit double digits for both goals and assists in three successive seasons.
