The UEFA Europa League is at the final stage, with some of the finest players from the African continent set to represent their respective European clubs.

Bayer Leverkusen are tipped as the favourites to win it, having booked a place in the last round after defeating AS Roma 4-2 on aggregate in the semi-finals.

Atalanta sealed the other ticket to the Europa League final after knocking Olympique Marseille out with a 4-1 win on aggregate, after the second leg on May 9.

Sports Brief takes a look at all the African superstars who will feature in the final between Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen later this month.

African stars who qualified for UEL final

1. Ademola Lookman

The Nigerian winger was one of the best players in the semi-finals, leading Atalanta to the final.

The former Leicester City forward scored and assisted with a goal in the semi-final second leg against Olympique Marseille.

2. Victor Boniface

The former Bodo/Glimt striker is the second Nigerian on the list and will represent Leverkusen in the final.

The Super Eagles star has scored five goals in the competition so far and will be one of the star players to watch in the final.

3. El Bilal Toure

The Malian international scored a late goal in Atalanta's 3-0 win over Marseille. The former Almeria striker could be up for selection for the final in two weeks.

The former Southampton winger is the second Bayer Leverkusen player on the list. He was instrumental in the Bundesliga champions' good run in the competition as they remain unbeaten.

Oliseh praises Atalanta star Lookman

Sports Brief also reported that former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh heaped praise on Ademola Lookman, following his recent outstanding performances for Atalanta.

The 26-year-old winger, who made a €9.35 million move from RB Leipzig in 2022, has seamlessly adapted to life in Italy after stints with Everton, Fulham, and Leicester City.
