Chippa United's asking price for Nwabali
According to a report courtesy of Soccernet, the PSL side are eyeing a transfer fee in the region of £1.3 million [₦2.245 billion] before a sale for the goalkeeper will be considered.
The report details that Chippa United CEO, Siviwe Mpengesi, has confirmed that the club is in discussions with other football clubs regarding Nwabali’s future, after the goalkeeper stated that he will not be renewing his contract with the Chilli Boys this summer.
South African football powerhouse, Kaizer Chiefs, were reported to be interested in signing the goalkeeper; however, it appears Amakhosi have backed out of what appeared to be a possible transfer following the asking price set by Chippa United.
It remains to be seen how other clubs interested in the shot-stopper's signature will react to the news of his asking price. However, regardless of how things unfold, it has to be said that the immediate future of Nwabali is one to watch closely.
