African superstars in Europe have continued to make the continent proud, as a couple of them will play in the final of the UEFA Champions League in June.

Borussia Dortmund were the first team to qualify for the competition's final after defeating Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 on aggregate in the semi-final.

The second team to book a place in the final was Real Madrid after coming from a goal down to defeat Bayern Munich in the second leg of the semi-final at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday evening.

With the final being between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, Sports Brief takes a look at the African players who will be representing their respective clubs in the game.

African stars who qualified for UCL final

1. Sebastien Haller (Borussia Dortmund, Ivory Coast)

The Ivorian striker will be playing in his first Champions League final in his football career. He was one of the players who played a crucial part in Dortmund reaching this stage of the competition.

The former West Ham star scored a crucial goal in the German side's quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid.

2. Ramy Bensebaini (Borussia Dortmund, Algeria)

The AFCON 2019 winner is another African player who will feature at the 2023-24 Champions League final after Dortmund secured one of the spots.

The Algerian international has played in five games in the Champions League this season and hopes to play in the final.

3. Brahim Diaz (Real Madrid, Morocco)

The Moroccan international has marked his return to the Real Madrid squad with a place in the final of the European elite club competition.

The former Manchester City star scored a spectacular goal against RB Leipzig in the round of 16, which secured Los Blancos a quarter-final place.

Diaz featured in both legs of the semi-final ties against Bayern Munich.
