Before the semi-final clash, PSG were heavily favoured after staging a remarkable comeback against Barcelona in the quarter-finals to reach the last four of the competition.

Unfortunately, Mbappe's aspirations to guide PSG to their first-ever UCL title were dashed after the Bundesliga side won away at Parc des Princes on May 7, GOAL reports.

Reports suggest this was the 25-year-old's final European appearance for the Parisians, amid strong and persistent links to a Real Madrid transfer in the summer window.
