Liverpool legend, Graeme Souness, has launched a scathing attack on Mohamed Salah, labelling him 'the most selfish player' he has ever witnessed.
He believes the Egyptian's attitude and tendency to disappear in tough games have hurt the team, and he wouldn't be surprised if the forward leaves Anfield in the summer transfer window.
Salah found himself thrust into the limelight following a heated exchange with Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, during the 2-2 draw against West Ham United.
Being Liverpool's top scorer this season, as per Sky Sports, he reportedly expressed his frustration at being benched for the second time within a week and his discontent boiled over, requiring intervention from fellow striker, Darwin Nunez, to prevent escalation.

Despite amassing an impressive tally of 210 goals in 346 Liverpool appearances, Salah's propensity to fade during challenging encounters has drawn criticism from Souness, who pointed out instances where the Egyptian forward shied away from confrontational play.
"Salah is the most selfish player I have ever witnessed. Even prior to that game, whenever Klopp takes him off, he is never happy about it. That is what you want from your players; if you take them off on two goals, they should want to stay on to score a third. When Sadio Mane was there, they’d fall out all the time," said Souness, as quoted by the Mirror.
