Drogba, Salah, Yaya Toure, and Sadio Mane are considered the best Africans to grace the Premier League. These players have won Premier League titles, Champions League crowns, and Puskas Awards.

They inspired thousands of African footballers, like Victor Osimhen, who accomplished big things.

There's nothing more spine-tingling than scoring a spectacular goal. Such goals always linger long in the minds of football fans in every corner of the globe. Here are some iconic goals scored by Africans in the Premier League.

Top 5 goals by Africans in Premier League

5. Cheick Tiote vs Arsenal (February 5, 2011)

The former Newcastle midfielder scored a stupendous volley in a breathtaking game against Arsenal. The late Ivory Coast midfielder scored one goal in the Premier League, and it was one to remember. The Gunners went 4-0 up in the first half after destroying the hosts.

The second half was a different story as The Magpies mounted a historic comeback to take a point. Tiote's incredible volley rescued a point for Newcastle in what remains a classic Premier League match.

4. Didier Drogba vs Liverpool (September 17, 2006)

The Ivory Coast legend was the first African to score 100 goals in the Premier League. In 2006, he scored an exquisite volley against Liverpool. The Blues legend chested a long ball from the right-hand side and swivelled before firing a half volley into the far corner.

The difficulty of the goal makes it into the top five of this list.

3. Sofiane Boufal vs West Brom (October 21, 2017)

The Moroccan is regarded as one of the 'streets won't forget' players. In 2018, he scored an iconic goal in a Southampton shirt, which later became the Goal of the Season (2017/18).

The winger took the ball in his own half, broke away from challenges, and left several players for dead, forcing two West Brom players to accidentally tackle each other before deftly slotting past Ben Foster in the bottom corner.

2. Tony Yeboah vs Liverpool (August 21, 1995)

Yeboah had a reputation for scoring spectacular goals in the 1990s in England. One of those strikes was a volley against Liverpool. The Ghanaian legend was backpedalling when his teammate headed a long ball his way.

He met the ball first time, unleashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper. On another day, this goal would've been No. 1. Yeboah scored another screamer against Wimbledon a month later.

1. Papiss Cisse vs Chelsea (May 2, 2012)

For a brief moment in early 2012, former Senegal striker, Papiss Cisse, was one of the best players in the world. He scored 13 goals in 14 matches for Newcastle United in one of the most impressive runs. One of those goals was a sensational volley against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, per The Athletic.

The Senegalese pounced on a loose ball in the 93rd minute, with Newcastle leading 1-0. He wrapped the outside of his right foot around the ball to deliver an iconic strike. The 40,000 fans in the stadium were astounded. The difficulty of this strike makes it the best goal scored by an African in Premier League history.

Honourable mentions: Jordan Ayew, Mohamed Salah, Victor Wanyama, Nwankwo Kanu, Michael Essien, Jay-Jay Okocha, Yaya Toure, Sadio Mane
