Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, has implored fans of the national team to remain patient despite Ghana's poor showings at recent competitions.
The West African nation have failed to advance beyond the group stages of the last two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations as well as the FIFA World Cup.
Pressure on the Ghanaian team led to the sacking of Chris Hughton as coach, with Otto Addo rehired to take command of the four-time African champions.
Ayew, who is the most experienced player in the Black Stars team, believes things will turn for the better but has asked for fans to be calm.

He spoke on Chasing Gold, as quoted by Ghana Soccernet:
"A lot of things have happened. There's not much to be said at the moment. I have been in the team for a very long time so we need to stay calm, learn from what went right and what went wrong, and keep working hard to make our nation proud because it is something very special."
Ayew said they could not hide behind recent poor results but also apologised and said this was part of the game.
Having been to three World Cups and represented Ghana at eight AFCONs, Ayew believes the team has the best talent to get the Black Stars back to its best form.
"Football is like a cycle - you have moments. We were on top for about 10 to 12 years but now it's other people [so] we need to keep working harder. We have the talent and the players, it's just a matter of time and a little bit of luck for things to switch around," he added.
