After just one season with Bayer Leverkusen, Victor Boniface could part ways with the newly-crowned Bundesliga champions after attracting interest from the English Premier League.
The 23-year-old Nigerian forward, who joined the German club last summer, enjoyed a historic season with Die Werkself, leading them to their first league title in 120 years.
According to The Sun, West Ham are keen on signing Boniface when the summer transfer window opens and the English club is willing to smash their club transfer record for the Nigerian.
The Hammers are reportedly preparing a €70 million record fee for the Bayer Leverkusen forward as they try to bolster their squad ahead of next season.

Juventus, Napoli, Newcastle, and AC Milan have also been linked with an interest in Boniface, who joined Leverkusen for only €20mil when he signed last summer from Belgian club, Union St. Gilloise.
Boniface keen on Leverkusen stay
Meanwhile, Boniface has hinted he might remain with Bayer Leverkusen for one more season, thereby debunking rumours he might be leaving the Bundesliga champions this summer, Soccernet reports.
The 23-year-old Nigerian claims he wants to achieve more success with Xabi Alonso’s men after clinching their first league title in 120 years without losing a single game in a record-breaking effort.
Boniface will reportedly snub all offers this summer, with West Ham said to be among the clubs interested in signing the Nigerian international when the transfer window opens in the summer.

FootballCapello backs Boniface for AC Milan
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Real Madrid manager, Fabio Capello, has recommended Boniface to AC Milan as he shared his thoughts on prospective striker targets for the Italian giants.
The Bayer Leverkusen star and Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna have been identified as the top two targets for the Serie A club as both players have been linked with moves away from their clubs this summer.
While Boniface has been instrumental for the new Bundesliga champions, the Bologna youngster has also impressed with a comparable goal count but less European exposure compared to his counterpart.
