Mohamed Salah and Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, dominated the headlines over the weekend after a touchline spat during the game against West Ham United in London.

The Reds dropped points again and seem to be losing their footing in the Premier League title race following the 2-2 draw at the London Olympic Stadium.

The incident between Klopp and his star player was an unpleasant sight leaving many wondering how their relationship got to that stage.

According to Football 365, the rift arose after Salah felt unhappy to be starting off the bench while Klopp had a ritual of having interactions with his substitutes before entering the pitch.

In videos shared on social media, Salah is seen furiously reacting after Klopp extended his hands for a shake. It took the intervention of fellow subs Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomes to calm the former Chelsea winger.

Meanwhile, the result leaves Liverpool chasing Arsenal and Manchester City for the title with three games remaining to end the season.

Klopp will be leaving the Merseyside club at the end of the season after announcing his departure midway through the campaign. He will be replaced by Dutch manager Arne Slot, as reported by The Guardian.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohamed Salah and Klopp were involved in a heated spat on the touchline during Liverpool's Premier League game at West Ham.

Liverpool saw their title ambition slip after a 2-2 draw at the London Olympic Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Salah started on the bench as a strike from Andy Robertson and an Alphonse Areola own-goal were cancelled out by goals from Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio.
