Liverpool's title hopes appear to be all over now after they lost 2-0 to Everton in the Merseyside derby, putting up one of their worst performances this season.
The Reds could finish Jurgen Klopp's final season with one trophy, the Carabao Cup, in which they beat Chelsea with a late goal to win the final at Wembley Stadium in February.
Per ESPN, former striker Daniel Sturridge claimed the club are still looking for a worthy replacement for Sadio Mane, who left the club in the summer of 2022 when his contract expired.
Sports Brief looks at five former players Liverpool are yet to replace.

Players Liverpool have not replaced
1. Sadio Mane
The winger is one of the apparent voids in Klopp's current team. The manager has tried Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, and sometimes Darwin Nunez, but they have yet to deliver the goals and off-the-ball work rate that Mane did. He netted 120 goals and provided 42 assists in six seasons.
He left the club to join Bayern Munich in 2022, but his time at the German club did not go well. It became complicated after the bust-up with Leroy Sane. He moved again last summer and joined Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
2. Georgino Wijnaldum
The Dutch midfielder was one of the key elements to Klopp's success. His versatility and tenacity in all midfield roles are attributes the team's midfield currently lacks. He scored two memorable goals against Barcelona in the run to the 2019 Champions League win. His move away hasn't been fruitful at Paris Saint-Germain, Roma and Al-Ettifaq.

Football3. Jordan Henderson
Per The Athletic, when Henderson moved to Saudi Arabia, he said he needed something that would excite him. The excitement burned out, and he forced a move back to Ajax in January. His quality, experience and leadership are missing at Anfield.
4. Roberto Firmino
Firmino was not the best goalscorer, but he did score goals for Liverpool and made Sane and Mohamed Salah better with his movements that got them into good positions. He and Liverpool surely regret their parting. His replacement Darwin Nunez has been scandalous even though he scored bangers.
5. Fabinho
The Brazilian defensive midfielder was a rock in Liverpool's midfield while at Anfield. He was adept at breaking up plays and closing down opposition attackers. He was replaced by an older Wataru Endo, who has yet to do poorly but won't be around long.

Sports Brief analysed the seven best players of Klopp's Liverpool era. The manager is set to leave the club at the end of the season after nine years in charge.
Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold are some of the best players of the era, while Jordan Henderson, Georgino Wijnaldum, and Divock Origi are honourable mentions.
