South Africa’s Cassius Mailula has finally broken his duck for Toronto FC.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns man has struggled for game time with the Canadian side, but proved what he can do when given a start.
As noted by iDiski Times, Mailula made a start for the side against Simcoe County Rovers in the Canadian Championship, scoring the second goal of the game and his first for the side.

Toronto went on to win that game 5-0, advancing to the next stage of the Canadian Championship, also known as the Voyageurs Cup.
The Canadian side have won the cup a record eight times since it began in 2008.
Mailula celebrates victory with a dance
To say the former Sundowns star was happy after the win is a bit of an understatement.
After the game, the South African was seen dancing in front of the fans who had come out to celebrate the win. It was also a way for him to let loose after finally bagging his first goal.
The 22-year-old scored 15 goals in 31 games for Sundowns before making the move to Major League Soccer. However, his move didn’t go as planned, as he hadn't scored in the MLS having played just 79 minutes across four games.

Sports Brief previously reported how 22-year-old Mailula was linked with a move to a Major League Soccer side.

The Brazilians did not name the club in question at the time of the report, but it turned out to be Toronto FC.
Mailula scores brace for Sundowns
Sports Brief also reported how the 22-year-old scored a brace for Sundowns against Orlando Pirates.
The youngster grabbed two goals as Sundowns’ reserves beat the Buccaneers in the DStv Diski Shield.
The Brazilians knocked the Sea Robbers out of the competition thanks to their win by a single goal.
