He underscored his preference for freedom over being restricted to a central pivot role.

"I play differently [with France]. I am asked other things here compared to my club. I have a lot more freedom here [with the national team].

However, according to the Spanish publication, AS, the 2018 World Cup winner has 'accepted' that he may need to adapt to a central striker role for Real instead of his preferred position on the left side of the attack.
