It has emerged that Chelsea set two unwanted records during their 5-0 humiliating defeat against rivals Arsenal on Tuesday night.
The Blues have been underwhelming this season under Mauricio Pochettion, with the west London side managing just 13 wins in 32 outings.
The 2021 Champions League winners lost 1-0 against Manchester City in the FA Cup last weekend and were hoping to bounce back to winning ways when they faced the Gunners at the Emirates.
However, Pochettion's charges went on to record a dismal performance, with the hosts putting five goals past them.

Arsenal opened a three-point gap between them and Liverpool, who are second in the PL table, with goals from Leandro Trossard, Ben White {two}, and Kai Havertz {two} solidifying their place in the race for the PL title.
Despite not having a stable striking force this season, Chelsea’s uninspired defence caused them big time and that was laid bare during their match against Arsenal.
Chelsea set two unwanted records
With six games to play, Chelsea have now conceded a record 57 goals in a single campaign. This is the most they have allowed in years, per Metro UK.
Additionally, the Blues have only managed six clean sheets and are in 13th place for the club that allowed the most goals in their net. Brentford, Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Burnley, Luton and Sheffield United are the only clubs that have conceded more goals than Chelsea.
Why Manchester City are still not EPL title favourites despite Arsenal, Liverpool stumbles
FootballThe loss the Pochettino men suffered on Tuesday was the worst in all the 209 meetings between the two clubs.
The Argentine, in an after-match press conference, defended his players saying that they are doing everything to avoid such scenarios in the future.
“No. There are different circumstances. It is an experience we need to make sure it doesn’t happen in the future. The club is building a new project, a new way to operate,” he said.
Havertz writes his name in EPL history
Sports Brief also reported on Havertz inking his name in EPL history after his impressive performance in the London derby clash against Chelsea.
His brace made him the first player to score two goals against the Blues after having previously played for the club.
