Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has issued a stern warning to Manchester City ahead of next month's FA Cup final at Wembley.

The Red Devils secured their spot in the final with a hard-fought victory in penalty shootouts against Coventry City, a match that many have labelled 'embarrassing'.

After taking the lead through Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire doubled it before half-time, and Bruno Fernandes made it three to the good for the lead Mancunian club.

However, Man United's defensive vulnerabilities resurfaced, leading to them conceding three goals within 19 minutes.

Despite the threat of an upset from the Championship side, United held their nerve and emerged victorious on penalties, per Sky Sports.

This sets up a showdown with reigning champions Manchester City in the final.

Securing a place in the final of the oldest football competition presents an opportunity for Ten Hag's charges to claim silverware at the end of the season.

However, they are well aware of the challenge posed by their formidable rivals, who defeated them in last season's final.

Nevertheless, the Dutchman remains undaunted by the prospect of facing the Citizens and is confident in his team's ability to secure victory in the final.

"We are not satisfied by being in the FA Cup final; we want to win it," the 54-year-old gaffer boldly claimed as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

He underscores the team's resolve and confidence in their capacity to attain their objectives via their mentality and strategy.

"That is what we will go for, and it’s our mentality. That is why we are successful,"
"That’s why I am successful over 10 years as a manager, I always bring out the maximum of each squad".

Man United to sack Erik ten Hag before FA Cup final?

In a previous publication, Sports Brief reported that Manchester United have reportedly reached a decision regarding Erik ten Hag's future at the club amid calls for his dismissal before the FA Cup final.

However, reports from the United Kingdom indicate that his tactics were scrutinized during the Wembley encounter, with some fans and pundits raising concerns about the manner in which United progressed.

It is now reported that United's management has made a decision regarding the calls for Ten Hag's dismissal before the end of the season.
