Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly identified the club's next manager.

Current United boss Erik ten Hag has come under immense pressure in recent weeks following the Red Devils' disastrous run of form and results across competitions.

On Sunday, April 21, the Premier League giants managed to book a place in the final of the FA Cup for the second consecutive season after seeing off Coventry in the semi-finals.

The Old Trafford dwellers stunned the lower-tier side 4-2 in post-match penalties to book a place in the final of the tournament.

SPORTbible reports United dominated the opening exchanges of the tie, racing to a 3-0 lead after 58 minutes of action via Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes.

However, Coventry staged a dramatic comeback to draw 3-3, forcing the match into post-match penalties, and later penalty kicks.

Despite United eventually securing a spot in the final, the Red Devils management is said to be concerned in the manner in which the team played.

Ratcliffe identifies ten Hag's replacement

With Ratcliffe not happy with the ten Hag's tactics, German press Georg Holzner says that Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is likely to replace the Dutchman.

Tuchel is set to quit his role as Bayern Munich boss at the end of the season after having a lousy domestic campaign, which resulted in the club losing the Bundesliga title to rivals Bayern Leverkusen, a title they have dominated since 2013.

Despite his struggles with the German club, reports claim he is emerging as a frontrunner for the Old Trafford job.

Ratcliffe seems to have a soft spot for Tuchel, especially owing to his stint at Chelsea, which saw him lift the Champions League title in 2021.

Bayern chief speaks on Tuchel's future

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl setting the record straight on the future of Tuchel at the club.

Eberl addressed rumours of the tactician getting sacked after he led the Bavarians to an embarrassing defeat to the newly promoted Heidenheim.
