Andre Onana has expressed delight after starring in Manchester United's FA Cup semi-final victory over Coventry City on Sunday at Wembley.

The Cameroonian shot-stopper saved a penalty as the Red Devils reached the final of the FA Cup for the second year running following a 4-2 win over the Championship side.

United were handed a scare after Coventry fought back from three goals down to force the game into extra time and eventually penalties.

The Premier League giants missed the first spot-kick after Casemiro failed to convert his penalty, but Onana saved Callum O'Hare's strike to level the scores before Ben Sheaf sent his effort wide as United progressed.

Onana, who joined Manchester United last summer, shared his excitement after reaching his first final with the Red Devils.

"It wasn’t our best day, but there’s nothing better than being able to play my first final defending this shirt. We stick together," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter after the match.

Manchester United will face neighbours and rivals Manchester City in a repeat of last season's FA Cup final.

Bernardo Silva's late strike in the earlier semi-final ensured City defeated Chelsea to book their place at Wembley, as reported by The Guardian.
