Sadio Mane was the subject of a creative piece of banter from a Brazilian commentator after his penalty miss against Al Feiha on Friday, April 19.

Al Nassr went behind after just six minutes at the Al-Awwal stadium as Fashion Sakala gave the visitors a shock lead.

Luis Castro’s side were without the services of their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, who was serving a one-match suspension after being shown a straight red card in the Saudi Cup semi-final last week.

Al Nassr won a penalty on the brink of halftime, with Mane stepping up in the absence of the Portuguese superstar.

With pressure to level matters upon him, the former Liverpool man ballooned his effort over the bar as Al Nassr went into the break trailing 1-0.

Commentator trolls Mane

On social media, a Brazilian commentator went viral for the way he described Mane’s unfathomable penalty miss.

The commentator, who doubles up as a Twitch streamer known as Thauê Neves, expected Mane to bury the chance seamlessly, but was left muttering hilarious phrases after the 32-year old’s miss.

In the video shared by @CANALGOATBR on X, formerly Twitter, the commentator can be heard saying, “Sadio Mane made it fly away as if it were a space dish. He sent it to reach us in Brazil,”

Mane inspires Al Nassr to victory

Al Nassr gained momentum as the second half progressed, and found an equaliser in the 72nd minute through Saudi defender Abdulelah Al-Amr.

Mane then atoned for his earlier miss by firing his side into the lead four minutes later, before a securing a brace four minutes later with a brilliant solo effort.

Cristiano reacts to Mane’s brace

Sports Brief also reported on Cristiano Ronaldo’s reaction to Sadio Mane’s heroics on Friday.

Following the hard-fought win against the 11th-placed Al Fayha, Ronaldo took to his Instagram stories to pat his teammates on the back for picking up their 22nd win of the campaign.

Ronaldo will make his comeback for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Kings Cup semi-final clash against Al Khaleej on Saturday, April 27.
