Victor Boniface celebrated Bayer Leverkusen's historic Bundesliga title victory in style by purchasing a unique diamond piece as a tribute to his late mother.

The 23-year-old forward was instrumental to Xabi Alonso’s men as they clinched their first German league title in the club’s 120-year history, scoring 11 Bundesliga goals in the process and winning several individual awards.

Boniface, who scored in the 5-0 demolition of Werder Bremen to confirm Bayer Leverkusen’s status as champions, contacted popular Nigerian jeweler Buchi Obasi, to make two diamond chains for him.

Both pieces are reported to be worth a whopping ₦10 million with one of the large pendants featuring an encrusted Diamond inscription that reads “Dreams Are For Real” with a throwback picture of his late mother and his siblings.

The other was constructed specifically to honour his late mother, and it likewise has an encrusted Diamond inscription that reads "Keep Resting Mama."

Boniface reacts to Bundesliga XI shortlist

Meanwhile, Boniface is delighted to have been nominated for the Bundesliga team of the season in his first season in the German topflight after the nominations were made public, Punch NG reports.

The Bayer Leverkusen frontman was included in the shortlist alongside the five best goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 15 midfielders, and nine other attackers from the Bundesliga.

According to a statement on the German top-flight website, all nominated players were chosen based on their performance in official Bundesliga statistics.
