“The goalscorer has always been the priority for Chelsea. But before negotiating a deferred payment of the release clause, the Blues must first resolve the problem of who will leave before fully focusing on Osimhen.”
Chelsea will, however, have to contend for the signature of Osimhen with top clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Manchester United, who have also signalled their interest in the Napoli forward.
How Chelsea to raise Osimhen’s funds
Meanwhile, Chelsea are willing to offload three top players from their squad in the summer to fund the transfer for Napoli forward Osimhen which will cost the Blues in excess of £120 million, Football Fancast reports.
Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah, and Romelu Lukaku are top of the list of players the Londoners plan to offload to raise money for the deal for the 25-year-old Nigerian forward.
4 strikers Chelsea will reportedly sign if Victor Osimhen joins PSG
FootballAll three players are on a combined £425k-per-week wage at Chelsea which they plan to get rid of to aid their pursuit of Osimhen who has scored 13 goals in 20 Serie A games for Napoli this season.
Chelsea urged to sign Osimhen
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Gabriel Agbonlahor has urged Chelsea to sign Osimhen to replace the struggling Nicolas Jackson in the summer transfer window.
Jackson joined the Blues from Villareal for €37 million last summer but has struggled to impress in the Premier League, scoring 10 goals and assisting four times in 28 games.
Agbonlahor believes the Ivorian forward is not Chelsea's messiah, prompting manager Mauricio Pochettino to sign top-rated striker Osimhen.
