Former Premier League striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has advocated for Chelsea to sign Victor Osimhen to replace the struggling Nicolas Jackson in the summer transfer window.
Jackson joined the Blues for €37 million last summer from Villareal but has struggled to impress in the Premier League, scoring 10 goals and creating four assists in 28 appearances.
According to Football Transfers, Agbonlahor claims the Ivorian forward is not Chelsea’s messiah and prompted Mauricio Pochettino’s team to sign top-rated striker Osimhen.
“Jackson’s not the answer! Oh wow, he’s not the answer! He must frustrate Chelsea fans watching. Like, you don’t know what you’re getting! At a big club you need to know what you’re getting.

“Chelsea desperately need a Victor Osimhen if they want to get out of the rut they have been in since Todd Boehly took over the club.”
Chelsea are reportedly one of the top clubs interested in signing Osimhen in the summer but the Blues will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Manchester United.
Napoli ready to sell Osimhen
Meanwhile, Napoli are ready to part ways with top striker Osimhen and cash in on his €130 million release clause as top clubs like Chelsea and PSG continue to show interest in the Nigerian, Pulse Sports NG reports.
This huge amount would offer the reigning Italian champions the financial resources to revamp their squad following a difficult 2023/24 season.
Lille forward, Jonathan David, has been touted as the possible replacement for Osimhen at Napoli should the Nigerian forward leave the Italian club at the end of the season.
