Andre Onana claims he is happy at Manchester United despite having a turbulent first season with the English Premier League giants following his mega move from Inter Milan last summer.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper has one of the worst records in England, conceding 69 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils this season as they continue to push for a European spot in the league.

According to the Daily Mirror, Onana has reiterated he has no regrets about joining Manchester United after recently paying a visit to former team Inter Milan who are on course to win the Serie A this season.

“Inter is a family for me, I love the fans. I wish them all the best. Regrets? No, I’m happy at Manchester United. But I’m so happy for Inter, the club is incredible, and this team is fantastic.”

Onana won the Serie A with Inter Milan and also led the Italian club to the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2023 before joining Manchester United in the same summer for £47million.

Onana thanks fans for support

Meanwhile, Onana is feeling thankful to some Manchester United fans who have chosen to support him in spite of his error-strewn start to life at the Old Trafford club, GOAL reports.

The Cameroonian disclosed that he received a lot of positive messages when he arrived in England as the fans stuck by him despite his difficult start in the Premier League which raised questions about his abilities.

Onana has enjoyed an upturn in form of late, becoming one of Manchester United’s reliable players in recent times as they continue to push to seal a spot in Europe next season.

Onana reunites with Inter Milan players

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Manchester United goalkeeper, Onana, turned a few heads when he returned to the San Siro to see his former club Inter Milan play on Sunday.

The Cameroonian international left Inter Milan for the Red Devils last summer.

While the 28-year-old made an impression in Serie A, his move to the Premier League hasn't been easy, with a difficult season thus far.
