Amid the controversy over the nomination of Marc Brys to become the Cameroonian national football team head coach, Samuel Eto'o is said to prefer former Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro.
Barely two months after seeing off his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation, Jose Peseiro could return to coaching duties with FECAFOOT.
It was gathered that the Portuguese coach, who led the Super Eagles to finish AFCON 2023 as runners-up, is on Cameroon's list to fill the role of coach.
Bola Narede reports that he is among three tacticians linked with the plum job, with Herve Renard and Fabio Cannavaro also being considered.

Reports earlier filtered in that Belgian manager Brys was handed a 30-month contract by Cameroon's sports minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi as a replacement for Rigobert Song.
The decision sparked a row with top executives of the country's football federation led by its president, Samuel Eto'o.
The African legend claims Brys was appointed without consulting the football governing body. Eto'o said:
"The national federation cannot recognise these appointments made outside any legal and regulatory framework."
FECAFOOT officials stated that they were not part of the selection process, amid interest from a dozen-strong candidates including former Cameroon striker François Omam-Biyik
FIFA, the world game's governing body, bans all forms of government involvement in football. A spokesperson said on Tuesday:
