Italian pundit, Malu Mpasinkatu, has stated that Manchester United have intensified their chase for Victor Osimhen after their 2-2 draw against Bournemouth in the English Premier League.
The Nigerian international is said to be a target for several top European clubs due to his performance for Napoli since joining the club from Lille OSC in 2020.
The Red Devils have been struggling to score goals this season despite signing Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta last summer, with the Dane having gone over two months without scoring.
Erik Ten Hag's side faces reported competition from Chelsea, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain for the services of the Nigerian superstar.

In an interview with Radio Goal, as per Punch NG, Mpasinkatu said Man United are ready to battle other clubs for Osimhen's signature.
"Manchester United will rival Chelsea for Osimhen this summer, and both clubs are 'on him' - a suggestion that they're working on a deal to lure him to their respective sides," he said.
"From the information I have, at the moment, there is talk of Marcus Thuram at PSG instead of Kylian Mbappe. Osimhen has already played in France; his goal is the Premier League. Manchester United and Chelsea are on him."
The pundit also spoke about Jonathan David coming in as a replacement for Osimhen at Napoli in the summer.
"[Jonathan] David? He could be the right profile to replace Osimhen; he is young but has been playing in Europe for several years," he added.
Napoli and Brentford show interest in Nigeria's newest goal-scoring sensation
Football"He has different characteristics from Osimhen, but he is very strong. Lille are an expensive club, but it's unlikely that the players they sell do badly."
The name of the current Lille star has been circulating recently as one of the reported targets of the Serie A champions to replace their star goal-scorer.
Napoli identifies Osimhen’s replacement
Sports Brief previously reported that Napoli have identified David as the perfect replacement for Osimhen this summer should the Nigerian leave.
The Chelsea target is having an impressive season with Lille, having scored 23 goals and provided seven assists in 39 appearances for the Ligue 1 team.
