Victor Boniface has shared his excitement after Bayer Leverkusen won their first-ever Bundesliga title following a 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen at the Bay Arena on Sunday.

The Super Eagles attacker opened the scoring after converting from the spot to hand his team a first-half lead before a second-half demolishing saw Leverkusen enter the history books.

A goal from former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka and a hat-trick from Florian Wirtz left the Bay Arena in pandemonium at the final whistle.

Boniface quickly took to social media to reach after posting on X, praising God.

"Na God," he wrote in pidgin English, which literally means, by God.

The 23-year-old has been key to Bayer Leverkusen's success this season, scoring 18 goals and providing nine assists across all competitions, per Transfermarkt.

The Nigeria international and the new Bundesliga champions will be hoping to complete a historic treble, with the DFB Pokal and Europa League in sight.

The former Bodo/Glimt forward joined Leverkusen last summer from Belgium side Union-Saint Gilloise.

Boniface scores as Leverkusen win Bundesliga

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nigeria forward, Victor Boniface made history after helping Bayer Leverkusen win their first-ever Bundesliga title in his first season in the German league.

The 23-year-old was on target for the second game running as Leverkusen defeated Werder Bremen to clinch the title with five games remaining.

Boniface opened the scoring from the spot after 25 minutes to give the host the lead before a strike from Granit Xhaka and a hat-trick from Florian Wirtz ensured Leverkusen are champions of Germany.

Boniface hits Kudus' celebration against West Ham

Sports Brief also reported that Victor Boniface performed Mohammed Kudus' celebration after scoring in Bayer Leverkusen's victory over West Ham United in the Europa League.

The 23-year-old scored late as the German side defeated the Hammers 2-0 in the first leg of their quarter-final clash.

Boniface rose high to head home a cross from Jonas Hoffman to hand Leverkusen the crucial second goal before their trip to London.
