Cubarsi just keeps on breaking records.
The talented Barcelona teenager became the youngest defender to start in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, accomplishing the feat in their first-leg win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
He was 17 years and 79 days old when he started in the Catalan giants' 3-2 victory against PSG. The occasion didn't faze him at all as he went toe-to-toe with Kylian Mbappe at Parc des Princes.
Cubarsi held his own against the French star, keeping him quiet in the first-leg clash. Mbappe had a night to forget against the Spanish teen, completing just 1 of 4 dribbles, winning just 3 of 12 duels, and recording no shots on target when the Barcelona youngster was his primary defender.
2. Georgi Shchennikov (18 years and 338 days)
Shchennikov previously held the record that Cubarsi just broke, becoming the youngest defender to start a Champions League quarter-final in CSKA Moscow's first-leg match against Inter Milan on March 31, 2010.
He was just 18 years and 338 days old when he started in that 1-0 loss to the Italian giants at San Siro. Shchennikov also started in the second leg of that quarter-final, which also ended in a 1-0 victory for Internazionale.

He was 18 years and 344 days old when given the start by Jose Mourinho in that 5-2 win. Varane went on to have a successful Champions League career with Real Madrid, winning the European Cup four times during his time in Spain.
