  • Harry Kane believes it will be "tough" for Arsenal to win the Premier League
  • The North London club lead the EPL table but is level on points with Liverpool
  • But with 7 games to go, Arsenal are locked in a three-horse race for the title

Bayern Munich forward, Harry Kane, has delivered his title verdict for the 2023–24 Premier League crown as Arsenal close in on their first English top-flight triumph in two decades.

The Gunners currently lead the league log with seven games to spare, with Liverpool and Manchester City in hot pursuit to thwart their ambitions.

After being in a similar situation last season, when the North London club led the table for almost two-thirds of the campaign, Mikel Arteta would be weary of a possible deja vu.

The dynamics might not be the same, yet they would hope not to choke when it matters most, despite having a tougher fixture schedule than their direct competitors.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City's remaining fixtures

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal will face Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester United, Wolves, Bournemouth, Tottenham, and Everton in their run-in for the title.

Meanwhile, Liverpool's schedule is relatively flexible, and it includes battles with Crystal Palace, Fulham, Everton, West Ham, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Wolves.

Conversely, Manchester City, the defending champions, would have to negotiate past Luton Town, Brighton, Nottingham, Wolves, Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham.

What Harry Kane said about Arsenal winning EPL

With Tottenham set to be in the enviable task of kingmakers, former talisman, Harry Kane, was asked if the current Arsenal side is the best side he has ever faced.

“I mean, they were good last year, and they just fell short,’ Kane replied after he had scored in Bayern Munich's 2-2 draw with the Gunners in the Champions League quarterfinal first leg.

When asked if he believes Arsenal can lift the Premier League trophy this season, the England captain said, as quoted by the Daily Post:

“It will be tough, but who knows? It’s not for me to say.”

Kane sides with Saka on penalty claim

Sports Brief also reported that Kane appeared to have sided with Bukayo Saka over a contentious penalty claim in Bayern Munich's quarterfinal first-leg tie against Arsenal on Tuesday evening.

Saka was visibly livid after referee Nyberg ignored his passionate penalty appeal.

Meanwhile, Kane acknowledges his England teammate's legitimate case for a penalty after being clipped by Neuer.
