The Super Falcons of Nigeria have booked a place in the footballing event at the forthcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games after defeating South Africa in the playoffs.

Sports Brief takes a look at the four best Super Falcons players in the second leg.

Four best players in South Africa vs Nigeria

1. Chiamaka Nnadozie

The Paris FC goalkeeper was one of the reasons why Nigeria qualified for the Olympic games for the first time in 16 years.

The Super Falcons shot-stopper made two decisive saves in the second half to keep the match goalless.

2. Michelle Alozie

The Nigerian defender once again showed why she's referred to as a 'big game player'. She produced a man-of-the-match performance while stopping South Africa's star player, Thembi Kgatlana, from having an impact on the game.

3. Deborah Abiodun

The 'Nigerian Kante' as she's being fondly called stood out in midfield and produced a balance alongside Halimatu Ayinde.

4. Osinachi Ohale

The Pachuca Feminil defender led the Nigerian defence, stopping South African attackers from getting clear-cut chances.

The veteran defender barely lost any of her duels as the Super Falcons kept a clean sheet against Banyana Banyana.

Ellis disappointed as Banyana lost to Nigeria

Sports Brief earlier reported that South Africa women's national team coach, Desiree Ellis was disappointed after Banyana Banyana lost to Nigeria in Pretoria.

Ellis added that while Banyana Banyana were disappointed, and the fans were also let down, the country could be proud of the team as well.
