- Paqueta has enjoyed a brilliant season under David Moyes at West Ham
Football fans have reacted after reports emerged on Monday that Manchester City were keen on signing West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
Paqueta's release clause will be activated in June as Manchester City prepares to bid for his services next season.
City has been interested in the Brazilian since last summer but had to halt their pursuit after an investigation into a possible breach of betting rules by Paqueta.
Despite the investigation, the 25-year-old has continued to play this season and has been in inspired form under David Moyes.

The West Ham number 10 has made 36 appearances for the Hammers across all competitions, scoring eight goals and registering seven assists, according to Transfermarkt.
Internationally, he was reintegrated into the Brazil squad and was part of the team that won 1-0 against The Three Lions in the recent international break.
City bolstered their squad last summer by acquiring Matheus Nunes from Wolves for £53m, but Pep Guardiola sees Paqueta as a viable option to potentially replace the ageing Kevin de Bruyne.
