Speaking after City's Premier League win over Crystal Palace, De Bruyne was asked which trophy he would prefer winning between the EPL and the Champions League.
The Belgian midfielder told TNT Sports via SPORTbible:
“Maybe the Champions League. It's hard to say. I'll take any.”
De Bruyne's response sparked a reaction from Rio Ferdinand, who joked that the City ace is tired of winning the Premier League.
However, the former Wolfsburg star objected saying:
“No, no I'm not bored. If we were bored we would not push like today. We'll see.”
