  • Manchester City are keen to defend the Champions League and Premier League
  • The EPL giants won both titles last term, alongside the FA Cup in a historic campaign
  • Pep's men are already through to the quarter-finals of the UCL and sit third in the EPL

Kevin De Bruyne has made clear the trophy he wants to win with Manchester City between the Premier League and the Champions League.

The Citizens are keen to defend both titles this term following their historic treble-winning campaign last season.

Pep Guardiola's men look on course to add more silverware to their cabinet, with the Manchester side among the frontrunners for the Premier League.

City are currently placed third in the standings with 70 points, just a point behind leaders Arsenal, with only seven games left to end the season.

The Etihad dwellers are also through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where they are scheduled to play serial winners Real Madrid for a chance to reach the semis.

De Bruyne chooses between UCL and EPL

Speaking after City's Premier League win over Crystal Palace, De Bruyne was asked which trophy he would prefer winning between the EPL and the Champions League.

The Belgian midfielder told TNT Sports via SPORTbible:

“Maybe the Champions League. It's hard to say. I'll take any.”

De Bruyne's response sparked a reaction from Rio Ferdinand, who joked that the City ace is tired of winning the Premier League.

However, the former Wolfsburg star objected saying:

“No, no I'm not bored. If we were bored we would not push like today. We'll see.”

De Bruyne scores landmark goal for Man City

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on De Bruyne scoring a landmark goal for Manchester City.

The Belgian midfielder helped City move up to second place in the Premier League table momentarily, scoring twice in their 4-2 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

He made history with that brace, becoming the third player to score 100 goals for the club. He racked up that total in less than eight seasons with City.
