- Kudus has been in fine form for West Ham United this season
Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has won the Goal of the Month award for the third time at West Ham United.
The 23-year-old's sensational solo goal against Freiburg was adjudged the best goal in March.
Kudus weaved his way through a sea of Freiburg players after receiving the ball in his own half, before firing past their goalkeeper with his weaker foot.
“No, no … I watched Messi do that a lot so, doing it one time, it’s in my books! When I took the ball I didn’t think I was going all the way to goal. But it was getting closer and closer and after the last defender I was thinking: ‘Yeah, I have to score this’. If I didn’t score that … nah. I’m glad I calmly finished it off," said Kudus after scoring against Freiburg.

It is the third time Kudus has won the award since joining West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate has been in fine form this season, scoring 13 goals across all competitions for the Hammers. Kudus has also contributed five assists in the ongoing campaign, per Transfermarkt.
Kudus stopped from iconic celebration
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohammed Kudus was prevented from hitting his iconic goal celebration after a Newcastle United ballboy refused to lend him his chair.
The Ghana international continues his rich run of form in the Premier League after adding another strike to his tally before providing an assist as West Ham take a 3-1 win at St James Park against Newcastle United.
Having gone down to an early lead through Alexander Isak from the spot, West Ham quickly recovered as Michail Antonio pulled levelled in the 21st minute.
